Moving is a lot of work. We could not have done our move without the help of my in-laws and several friends. Well, we could have.. But not the 'Finnish style' DIY move we did. Actually, after having our three last moves (in the last 5 years) handled by professionals, it was quite refreshing and even fun doing the move ourselves - but a lot of work. (Except for Rekku, who is relaxed thanks to Bach's rescue remedy drops and had a different job in mind for the "moving guys".)
Now there are some more boxes left, and tidying and organizing to do, but everyday life has started again. St-Cergue and our new home is great! Especially the garden..!! It has awsome to watch the boys roll around in the grass from the pure joy of having a garden :)
We have already had some friends visit - including a friend for Rekku, when Bobi the puppy (who stayed with us a week about a month ago) came along to check out the garden while the kids played inside.
We also already have our second visitors staying with us - and it is only our second week in the new home ;) (St-Cergue is a touristic village..) Today we climbed up to the closest mountain top, 'Les Fruitières de Nyon', which is at 1333m, so about 300m higher than St-Cergue. What a beautiful view of the lake and mt Blanc! After the steep hike up.. (Huh!).
