Last night we went to our last agility practice for a while.
With Societe Canine Geneve's great agility gang.
At Bernex grounds on a Wednesday night.
...
So in other words, it's not goodbye forever, but since we are moving this weekend, it might take a while before we make it to an agility practice, and it might be been longer before we make it back here again.
Or it might not - since Rekku, my old man, just fires up at practice. He runs fast, jumps around just for the fun of it, is trying his best to achieve the tug and toy or the durian treat. He really does not seem nearly 11 when running around the course!
Last night we did small drills with tricky bits (dog walk/tunnel and A-frame/tunnel options) and we did well, apart from my mistakes (really should know by now how much my shoulder line matters!) and Rekku's weird moment at the tunnel captured on video.
Valtteri was with me as usual, this time graduating from just helping out with building the course (putting the weave poles in is his new favorite) to holding Rekku's leash while we run. He also quite enjoys doing the weaves himself! So clearly, we must keep up with this fun hobby :)
I really had a good time last night. The language barrier is still there (I can only look in the mirror regarding that), but the SCG's agility people - like pretty much all agility people, wherever I have met them - are great. So friendly, helpful, welcoming.. really nice people. I would warmly recommend joining the practice at Bernex on Wednesday nights to anyone :)
I hope to be back to visit or meet at competitions!
